how to calculate the kinetic energy in joules here:
A former platform diver for the Ringling Circus, had a kinetic energy of 12 000 J just prior to hitting the bucket of water. If her mass is 40 kg, find her speed.

heeyee mate ❤️❤️❤️ here is ur answer

kinetic energy= 1/2 mv^2

so EK = 12000 J

m= 40 kg

therefore..

hope this will help you

stay blessed and happy always ☺️ ☺️

Step 1: Given data

kinetic energy, KE=12000J

mass, m=40kg

velocity or speed, v=?

Step 2: Using the formula

KE=\frac{1}{2}mv^{2}

Step 3: Calculating the speed

As per the given data,

12000=\frac{1}{2}\times 40\times v^{2}

v^{2} =\frac{12000}{20} =600

v=\sqrt{600}=24.49\approx 24.5 m/s

Hence, the speed of the diver is 24.5m/s.
