for example

molecular mass of H2O molecule is = 2×1 + 8

= 10

because atomic no of hydrogen is 1 and total no of atoms are 2 on multiplying the answer for hydrogen becomes 2 and mass of oxygen atom is 8

hence the molecular mass of the molecule becomes 10
