For any industry to use an oil or fat, the primary consideration is availability which is closely followed by the price. If lard is to be commercially available, there has to be farms raising pigs and a whole system of collection, purification and marketing of lard also has to be present. In the context of India, there are hardly any pig farms around and availability of the fat is out of question.

check the contents of the pack then see fssai mark on d pack.
