How to check the correctness.of v2-u2 = 2as?

Where;
a=acceleration
s=displacement
v=final velocity
u=initial velocity
v=u+at
so
t=(v-u)/a
also for displacement at constant acceleration,
We can see that
s/t=(v+u)/2
or
s=(v+u)*t/2
substitute for t from the previous equation for t
s=(v+u)*(v-u)/2a
finally this gives
2as=v^2-u^2
