Use age for picking an ET tube size for infants and children.
Newborn: 2.5 - 4.0 mm.
Infant under 6 months: 3.5 - 4.0 mm.
Infant between 6 months and 1 year: 4.0 - 4.5 mm.
Child 1 and 2 years: 4.5 - 5.0 mm.
Child over 2 years: divide the child's age by 4 and add 4 mm.
Newborn: 2.5 - 4.0 mm.
