Depends on what your topic is. If there isn't one yet, you should firstly choose a topic for the assembly and start with the introduction of that topic.
Like: Good morning to everyone present here, the topic for today's morning(or any other time) assembly is.... And then introduce the topic.
For example, your topic is... Women empowerment or procrastination or self motivation, or any other uplifting and meaningful topic.
You should ALWAYS begin with introducing people to the basic meaning of that topic. Importance of that thing in a person's life or for the development of a person or a country. You should involve points...
Like in our school's morning assembly we usually go like this…
Like, if we have a topic, say, procrastination we go somewhat in this sequence:-
Introduction: the meaning and role of procrastination.(you can always begin with a challenging and bold quotation)
Elaboration of the topic: maybe add some drawbacks and facts about procrastination.
Conclusion : this may include points to overcome procrastination.
Thought of the day: this involves a motivational quote about the topic.
Prayer on the topic : it should have some relation to the topic.
Lord's prayer: I study in a convent school so Our Father In Heaven prayer in compulsory.
Hymn: May or may not be related to the topic, preferably the former.
News: thus definitely does gas to be related to the topic.
