There are some natural resources such as sand that are used to make silicone which in turn is used to make solar cells that provide renewable energy. These resources are put to good use.
Others such as oil being used to make petrol and diesel are not being put to good use as they are not renewable. The oil will run out.
We need it to make plastics which can be recycled and so are renewable.
The technology exists to make cars that are electric and charge themselves up with embedded solar cells in the paint. The clock face on my watch is a solar cell but you would never know it was one. Tesla cars use the same technology to recharge the cars battery. The government moan about diesels harming the atmosphere but haven't banned the car makers to manufacture them. Much more should be done to make electric cars more tax friendly.
Water is abundant in some countries such as England and as such we take it for granted and waste a lot of water having baths and rinsing pots, plates and pans in free running water prior to putting them in the dishwasher.
We should share the water with the countries where it is not abundant. Pipes should be laid to carry water to these countries that can pay for it with energy from solar energy farms.
President Trump wants to mine coal and use energy to refine it into smokeless coal. Surly putting the miners to work making solar cells would be a better idea.
