We know the the diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular bisectors of one another. With that information, lets start our construction (see attached figure)
Step1: With the help of a scale and a pencil, draw line AC = 4.5 cm.
Step2: Make a perpendicular bisector with the help of a compass, scale and pencil.
Step 3: Mark two points on this perpendicular bisector, each being 3cm from the point of intersection with line AC. Mark the upper point as B and lower point as D.
Step 4: Join points A, B, C and D to get the rhombus in question
