How to construct a perpendicular from the vertex to the hypotenuse in a right angled triangle?​

1. consider the right angle triangle( say AABC) in attachment. 2. draw an arc by considering C as centre

and AC as radius.

3. similarly, draw an arc considering B as centre and AB as radius.

4. They intersect at two points, one is

obviously at A and other is say at D.

5. join these points, A and D with line. 6. This is perpendicular to hypotenuse.

7. This is altitude from right angle vertex on to

hypotenuse.
