How to construct a triangle if three sides of measurements are given?

1) Take the longest side as the base and using a ruler draw the line (AB) of the respective length.


2) Take your compass and adjust it in accordance to the length of the second side given. Then from the point A of the line AB make an arc.


3) Again readjust you compass in accordance to the length of the thrid side given. Then from point B of the line AB make an arc.


4) So now, the 2 arcs that you have drawn from point A and B respectively will coincidence ( interesect) at a point (P).


5) Draw a line from that point (P) to point A and point B.


6) And then you have your triangle
