We know that perimeter of an equilateral triangle=3×side
15.6=3×side⇒side=15.6/3=5.2 cm
Steps of Construction
(i)Draw a line segment AB=5.2 cm
(ii)With B as centre and radius=5.2 cm,draw an arc and draw ∠B=60°
(iii)With C as centre and radius =5.2 cm,draw an arc and draw ∠C=60°
(iv)Mark the point as A where the two arcs meet.
(v)Join AB and AC.
Then,ΔABC is the required equilateral triangle.
