Explanation:The cathode metal can be made of the baser metal whereas the anode can be made of the superior metal. The electrolyte should be a suitable salt of the anode. As current passes from the cathode to anode, the metal of the anode loses electrons and enters the electrolyte.The ion present in the electrolyte goes to the cathode and gains electrons thus gets deposited on the cathode.In this way the superior metal gets deposited on the baser metal.
