To convert acetylene to nitrobenzene we can use the following procedure:
- First, we have to convert the acetylene into benzene for this acetylene is warmed up in the red-hot iron tube at 873 K, benzene is attained.
- After that, we should convert benzene into nitrobenzene and for this, a nitro group is instructed into the benzene ring. It is then heated with a combination of concentric nitric acid and concentrated sulphuric acid. By blending benzene with nitric acid in the existence of sulfuric acid, we can transform benzene into nitrobenzene. In the initial and next step, nitric acid reacts with sulfuric acid to generate a good electrophile.
