How to convert Active to Passive Voice in a very simple way:-

Example:-

Hari sang a song. AV

A song was sung by Hari. PV

Compare the above 2 sentences. Both the sentences mean same thing, then what is difference between them.

■ In the sentence the subject is Hari who is the doer of action. Hence subject is active the verbs and is said to be in active voice.

■ In the second sentence the subject Hari is the receiver of action but passive the words sung is said to be in passive voice.

Steps to change Active into Passive Voice

1. Only transitive verbs can be changed into PV.

2. The object of the active voice becomes the subject of the passive voice vice versa.

3. The preposition by is used with agent of action.

4. Tense of the verb does not change only its form is changed.

Pronouns can be changed as follows:-

I- me

He- him

she- her

they- them

We- us

You and it always remains the same.
