Explanation:

nitration

c6H6+NO2----->c6H5(NO2)

chlorination

c6H5(NO2)+cl----->c6H4(NO2)(cl)

formation of amine

c6H4(NO2)(cl)------->c6H4NH2(cl)(in presence of Fe-Hcl)

Benzene can be converted into meta dichlorobenzene by following step of reactions -

(i) React benzene into with HNO_{3} / H_{2}SO_{4} , Nitrobenzene is formed .

(ii) React nitrobenzene with Cl_{2} / FeCl_{3} , meta nitrochlorobenzene is formed .

(iii) React meta nitrochlorobenzene with Sn / HCl , meta chloroaniline is formed .

(iv) React meta chloroaniline with NaNO_{2} + HCl , meta chlorobenzene diazonium chloride is formed .

(v) React meta chlorobenzene diazonium chloride with CuCl / HCl ,  meta dichlorobenzene is formed .
