first of all heat your calcium carbonate directly on flame .Do this for at least 2 minutes until it becomes red and very hot. After this procedure, the rock will decompose to create calcium oxide i.e., quicklime and carbon dioxide.

i'll be pleasure if answer help u if it does..so plz mark it as brainliest

nishavox: To make lime water from calcium carbonate, you first need to convert the calcium carbonate into calcium oxide, and then convert the calcium oxide into calcium hydroxide by reaction with water (hydration).

To convert calcium carbonate into calcium oxide, you will need to heat the powdered calcium carbonate to 1000°C in a furnace for one hour. The reaction is;-  CaCO3 —-1000°C—-> CaO + CO2.  CaCO3 starts to loose a significant amount of CO2 at about 900°C, so if the furnace needs to be capable of at least 1000°C to ensure complete calcination in a reasonable time.  ✨✨
