React methylamine ( CH$_{3}$NH$_{2}$ ) with nitrous acid ( HNO$_{2}$ ) , methanol ( CH$_{3}$OH ) is prepared .

CH$_{3}$NH$_{2}$ + HNO$_{2}$  →  CH$_{3}$OH
