To convert the degree into percentage in pie chart:

As we know to find the percentage we divide the number by total of whatever amount and multiply it by 100, now in this case degree needs to be converted into percentage. Let us take 3 degree value such as $a^{\circ}, b^{\circ} \text { and } c^{\circ}$ on a pie chart as shown in the below diagram.

Now in a pie chart the circle is equivalent to 360 degree therefore to find the angles we know that total is 360 degree. Hence, to find the angle we use $\frac{a}{360} \times 100=\frac{100}{360} a \%$ likewise the values for b and c.
