To get propan-2-ol from ethanal, we have perform a simple method of treating ethanal with Grignard's Reagent.

The chemical equation will be as given below -

CH3CHO + CH3MgBr -------> (CH3)2CHOH

In this reaction we can clearly see that, ethanal reacts with Grignard's reagent and converts ethanal into propan-2-ol.

Here, CH3CHO is the ethanal and CH3MgBr is the Grignard's reagent and (CH3)2CHOH is the product propan-2-ol.
