Hertz is a unit of frequency if a substance or a wave and m/s us a unit for velocity(or speed). Hence for the conversion the frequency must be multiplied with its wavelength.

birendrak1975: The frequency if 500MHz which is 5×10^8Hz and wavelength is 0.6m. Hence velocity is 5×10^8×6×10^-1=3×10^8m/s
DasariJahnavi: how did you convert it into m/s
birendrak1975: See Hz can also be written as s^-1 or per second and if we multiply it with wavelength which is in m we get m/s
DasariJahnavi: OK thank u so much
birendrak1975: Your welcome
DasariJahnavi: u really helped me for my ex as m
DasariJahnavi: Sry exam
birendrak1975: In which class are you In? Sorry for asking
DasariJahnavi: 9th class
birendrak1975: Ohk nice
