  • It’s interesting that most of these answers use KOH in alcohol (which is essentially equivalent to using potassium ethoxide). Which I’m sure work.

Answer:

In this conversion , there are two possibilities . On addition of HBr to propene ,in presence of H2O2 or in absence of H2O2 , 2-bromo propane and 1-bromopropane are obtained respectively . In addition of aqueous KOH solution indivisually , 2-propanol and 1-propanol are the products.
