Given :- How to create equivalent fractions ?

1) By dividing or subtracting the numerator and denominator of a given fraction by the same number except zero .

2) By multiplying or adding the numerator and denominator of a given fraction by the same number except zero .

3) By dividing or multiplying the numerator and denominator of a given fraction by the same number except zero

4) By adding or subtracting the numerator and denominator of a given fraction by the same number except zero .

Answer :- 3) By dividing or multiplying the numerator and denominator of a given fraction by the same number except zero .

Explanation :-

Let us assume that, a fraction 4/5 .

now, in order to create equivalent fractions , we have to multiply both N and D by same number .

  • (4/5) * (2/2) = 8/10
  • (4/5) * (5/5) = 20/25

and , if we multiply by 0, we get,

  • (4/5) * (0/0) = 0 ≠ equivalent fraction .

therefore, we can conclude that, in order to create equivalent fractions , we have to multiply both N and D by same number except zero.

Similarly, Let us assume that, a fraction (32/36) .

Dividing both N and D by same number we get,

  • (32/36) ÷ (2/2) => (32/36) * (2/2) = 64/72 or, 16/18 .

and , if we divide both N and D by 0, we get,

  • (32/36) ÷ (0/0) = 0 ≠ (32/36).

therefore, we can conclude that, in order to create equivalent fractions , we have to divide both N and D by same number except zero.

hence, from both conclusions we can conclude that, By dividing or multiplying the numerator and denominator of a given fraction by the same number except zero we can create equivalent fractions .
