How to determine sign of sine and cos in all 4 quadrants?

in 1st quadrant all the trigonometric ratios are positive

in 2nd quadrant sin and cosec are positive remaining are negative

in 3rd quadrant tan and cot are positive remaining are negative

in 4 the quadrant cos and sec are positive remaining are negative...

this can be easily remembered by a simple short cut all silver tea cups...

1) IN 1st QUADRANT :-

all the trigonometric ratios are positive.

sin : +ve cosec : +ve

cos : +ve sec : +ve

tan : +ve cot : +ve

2) IN 2nd QUADRANT :-

only sin and cosec are positive.

sin : +ve cosec : +ve

cos : -ve sec : -ve

tan : -ve cot : -ve

3) IN 3rd QUADRANT :-

only tan and cot are positive .

sin : -ve cosec : -ve

cos : -ve sec : -ve

tan : +ve cot : +ve

4) IN 4th QUADRANT :-

only cos and sec are positive .

sin : -ve cosec : -ve

cos : +ve sec : +ve

tan : -ve cot : -ve
