Ionic means transfer of electrons therefore there will charge on the symbol
in covalent means sharing of electrons therefore there will be no charge
in covalent means sharing of electrons therefore there will be no charge

Mostly the elements of ionic compounds have valence electrons 1,2,3,5,6,7 .
In case of covalent compounds mostly the elements have valency 4
In case of covalent compounds mostly the elements have valency 4
