How to differentiate between two identical rods, when one of them is an iron rod while the other is a magnet. The conditions are:

(i) No use of any other bar or magnet.

(ii) No use of even a string or any other material

(iii) No breaking of apparatus

Answer:

1)When we take two rod in contact with another iron or metal,the magnet attract iron particle but iron rod doesn't attract.

2)We will hang two rod from middle to a vertical plane and rotate 2-3 times the magnet always stop in same direction every time of rotation but iron rod stop at different direction.
