Answer:

Speed is directly proportional to distance when time is constant: v ∝ s (t constant)

Speed is inversely proportional to time when distance is constant: v ∝

t

(s constant)

Combining these two rules together gives the definition of speed in symbolic form.

v = s

t

☞ This is not the final definition.

Don't like symbols? Well then, here's another way to define speed. Speed is the rate of change of distance with time.

NANBA..

V is Final Velocity

U is Initial Velocity..

When the question is like : The car is moving with a speed of 24m/s.. Then it's U i.e Initial Velocity..

When the question is like : A car came to rest after 15 min then the velocity is V i.e Final Velocity and in this case the final velocity is 0 because the car came to rest wright ..... further doubt ask me I will give many more examples and make you understand..
