how to diffrentiate between resistors in parallel and resistors in series???

Explanation:

In parallel , equivalent resistance is small

In series equivalent resistance is large

In parallel, if one resistor is not working than there is no effect on other resistors

In series if one resistor stops working then whole circuit gets unplugged.

Parallel connections are more efficient than series connections..
