As you move fron left to right in a periodic table each time you're getting an element with one more proton within it's nucleus with an increased number of electron in it's last shell.

so,
everytime there's an increase in number of electron and one proton in the atom structure as you move from left to right.

Hey!!

In moving from left to right there is a Chang of an election and one proton and some neutrons depending upon the mass of atoms
-------------------
trend in Atomic size.
××××××××××××××
Along the period .
Atomic size of elements while moving from left to right decrease.
This is because of the increase in effective nuclear charge on the same number orbitals .
______________
Along the group
--------------
Down the group atomic size increase due to addition of more Shells .
