Okay we'll take an example for it

Q. Light enters from air to glass having refractive index 1.50 . What is the speed of light on the glass? The speed of light in vaccum is 3*10power8m/s

Ans. Now we have to calculate the speed of light

We have been given the refractive index of glass= 1.50

i.e,

n21=speed of light in vaccum /speed of light in glass

So. 1.50=3*10power 8/speed of light in glass

Speed of light in glass=3*10power8/1.50

Speed of power =2*10power 8
