By Second condition,

(20 - a) / a = - 3

=> 20 - a = - 3a

=> 20 = - 3a + a

=> - 2a = 20

=> a = - 10

So ,
Smaller integer = 20- x
According to the given question. ,
x / (20-x)= -3
x = -3(20-x)
x= -60+3x
x-3x = -60
-2x = -60
x= -60/-2
=30
So ,

Smaller integer = 20-3= -10Ans .
