Drawn length √45 without using pythagoras theorem

Step-by-step explanation:

45 = 3 * 15

Step 1 : Draw a line segment PQ  = 15 cm

Step 2 : Draw a perpendicular bisector of  PQ and find mid point O

Step 3 : Draw a semi circle Taking OP as radius and O as center using compass

Step 4 : Take 3 cm from P on PQ mark it R

Step 5 : Draw a right angle at R  such that it intersect Semicircle at S

PS = √39

Δ PRS ≈ Δ PSQ

as ∠P = ∠P

& ∠PRS = ∠PSQ = 90°  (∠PSQ angle in semicircle)

=> PS/PQ = PR/PS

=> PS² = PR * PQ

=> PS² = 3 * 15

=> PS² = 45

=> PS = √45

perpendicular bisector of PQ

using compass Taking width slightly less than PQ draw arcs on both sides taking P as center

Keeping compass width same taking Q as center draw arcs such that it intersects arc drawn in previous step  at M & N

Join MN intersecting PQ at O
