Marks                        0 – 10     10 – 20    20 – 30     30 – 40    40 – 50

Number of students   4            8              18               15              5

Draw ‘less than’  ogives.

Solutions:  For less than ogive, cumulative frequencies should be calculated

Calculation Of Cumulative Frequencies

Marks                   Frequency                    ‘Less than’ Cumulative Frequency

0 – 10                          4                                                       4

10 – 20                        8                                                      12

20 – 30                       18                                                     30  

30 – 40                        15                                                    45

40 – 50                         5                                                    50
