STEPS OF CONSTRUCTION
1. Draw a lime segment AB=9.2 cm by using a ruler.
2. Draw any ray making an acute angle BAX with AB.
3. Along AX, mark off 8 (5+3) points A1, A2,A3......A8, such that AA1=A1A2......A7A8.
4. Join BA8.
5. Through A5 draw a line A5P parallel to A8B by making an angle equal to AA8B at A5 intersecting AB at a point P.
6. The point P so obtained is the required point, which divides AB internally in the ratio 5:3.
