Answer:

3a+6b =6 -(1) and 4a + 2b = 5 -(2)

simplifying equation (1)

a + 2b = 2 -(3)

eleminating equation (1) and (2)

a + 2b = 2

4a+2b = 5

-. -. -

-3a = -3

a = -3/-3

a = 1

Putting the value of a in equation (3)

1 +2b = 2

2b = 2-1

2b = 1

b = 1/2

Hence, a = 1 and b =2 for the above equations.

hope it helps you!
