I believe you obtained the equation y = 0.0398x - 0.0006 , R² = 0.9971 by plotting the absorbance of different concentrations of gallic acid dissolved in methanol. If that is the case, put the absorbance reading of your sample as y into the equation to obtain a value, lets call it z in mg GAE/ml. Using the equation below you can calculate total phenolic content of that sample in mg GAE/g.

C = z mg GAE/ml * vol. of chemical used in assay (ml) * 1/mass of sample or crude extract.
