8x^3-(2x-y)^3 = (2x)^3-(2x-y)^3 Apply formula a3 - b3 = (a - b)3 + 3 a b (a - b) = put a=2x,b= 2x-y = (2x-2x+y)^3+3(2x)(2x-y)(2x-2x+y) = y^3+6xy(2x-y) =y^3+12x^2y-6xy^2
