2x² + 15x + 27

First of all we'll multiply constant term to coefficient of x², it gives us 54

Now find two factors of 54 such that their sum is 15

in this case  ( 9 + 6 = 15) and ( 9 × 6 = 54)

Write middle term (coefficient of x as sum of these two factors)

∴2x² + (9 + 6)x + 27

2x² + 9x + 6x + 27

(Take x common from first two terms and 3 common from last two terms)

x( 2x + 9 ) + 3( 2x + 9)

(2x + 9) (x + 3) are the desired factors
