This is the structure of Na+Cl-(s) . As you can see the Cl- ions are arranged in FCC (face centered cubic) and Na+ ions fills the octahedral hole. Each ion is surrounded by another 6 ions. Since both cation and anion have a co-ordination number of 6, the structure shows a 6:6 co-ordination

It's simple . Just draw it's lattice structure.then u are gonna get the coordination number of back as 6
