How to find a number a rational or not?

look every negative or positive number is rational number so u dont need to find it

If the no. Can be written in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero then it is a rational no............. All positive and negative numbers are rational except those which are under the root and can't be factorized any more like √3,√5,√7.............. √9 is rational as √9 = 3×3......... Just check whether the no. is in p/q form or not and if it is under root then it has its square root as whole or not......... U'll come to know whether the no. is rational or not.....
