Answer:

×PLEASE MARK ME AS BRAINLIST×

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a very simple method. We will subtract the consecutive odd numbers from the number for which we are finding the square root, till we reach 0. The number of times we subtract is the square root of the given number. This method works only for perfect square numbers.

So there are 2 types of square roots:-

  1. Perfect square number
  2. Non perfect square number

So in Perfect square number a number is multiplied twice with itself ex 8×8=64 , where 64 is Perfect square.

So taking a root to number we take 2 factors from the number and write one outside like

 \sqrt{81}

Now prime factors of 81 are (3×3)×(3×3)

So we underline 2 pairs and take one number out

so root of 81 is 9 as 2 threes from 4 is taken.

ex:-

1) 144

144 = 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3

So let's take one out of 2

 \sqrt{144}  =  2 \times 2 \times 3

 \sqrt{144}  = 12

2) Non perfect square number

Sometimes the number which is given to us is not a perfect square like

30 which has factors 3 , 2 ,5

In this there are no pairs

so in order to find we need to learn the root table which is the values of specific roots like root 2 or root 3

ex :-

1) 108

108 = 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3 \times 3

here take pair of 2 and 3 and leave one 3 inisde we get,

 \sqrt{108}  =  \sqrt{2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3 \times 3}

 \sqrt{108}  = 6 \sqrt{3}

Now according to value of root 3 = 1.73

 \sqrt{108}  = 6 \times 1.73

 \sqrt{108}  = 10.39
