Acids & Bases could be distinguished by following:-

★ Sour taste( acid ) or bitter taste (base)

★ red litmus ( acid ) or blue litmus ( base )

★ pH paper :- less than 7 ( acid ) or more than 7(base)

★ phenphthalein :- no change ( acid ) or pink colour ( base ).
