Angle of incidence = Angle of refraction

<i = <r = 30°

Therefore angle of refraction = 30°

Laws of reflection of light

1) All the rays ( incident ray, reflected ray and normal to mirror surface) lie in same plane.

2) The second law states that angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection.

Answer and Explanation:

Angle between incident ray and mirror = 30

o

Angle of incidence =

90

o

30

o

=

60

o

Now, from laws of reflection,

Angle of reflection = Angle of incidence = 60

o

Total angle turned by ray = Angle of incidence + Angle of reflection = 60 + 60 = 120
