(1)

2 \pi  r = 88

 \pi  r = 44

r_1 = 44/ \pi

(2)

2 \pi  r = 66

 \pi r  = 33

r_2 = 33/ \pi

Minus r2 from r1,

44/ \pi - 33/ \pi

11/ \pi

= 3.5cm

Hey friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer:

Given that,

Circumference of the concentric rings are 88cm & 66 cm Respectively,

To find,

The width of the ring.

Solution,

Let the radius be r₁ for 88cm , & r₂ for 66cm circle.

Then, We know that.

Circumference = 2 \pi r

⇒ 88 = 2 \pi r_1

⇒ 88 = 2\times  \frac{22}{7} \times r_1

⇒ r_1 =  \frac{88\times 7}{2\times 22}  = 2\times 7 =14\ cm

Then,

66 = 2 \pi r_2

⇒ 66 = 2\times  \frac{22}{7} \times r_2

⇒ r_2 =  \frac{66\times 7}{2\times 22} =  \frac{6}{4}\times 7 = 1.5 \times 7 =10.5\ cm

Now we know that,

Width\ of\ Ring =  r_1 - r_2 = 14 - 10.5 = 3.5cm

Therefore the width of the ring is 3.5cm. (OPTION - i)
