Area of equilateral triangle=
 \sqrt{3} \div 4 \times {a}^{2}
a is the length of a side of the triangle.
If the perimeter is given, calculate side of the triangle. As all the sides are equal, you can calculate length of a side by dividing the perimeter by 3.
