let the sides of rhombus be x
In a rhombus diagonal divides it into two congruent and isosceles triangles
therefore, area of isosceles triangles = 2× ½ x²

therefore area of rhombus = x²

divide rhombus into two triangles using measure of sides find the measure of diagonal by pythogoras theorem.then using formula area of a triangle= square root of s×s-a×s-a×s-b×s-c we can get the measure of two triangles and on adding them we get the area of rhombus
