How to find average velocity of an object when a bus covers a distance of 250 km from delhi to jaipur in 5hrs and returns to delhi covering the same distance and time?

total distance covered =(250+250)m=500 m

total time taken=(5+5) hrs=10 hrs

:-average speed =total distance covered/total time taken

=500metres / 10 hrs

=50 m/s

:~average speed of the bus is 50 m/s.

but ..the average velocity of the bus will be zero..because the displacement of the bus is zero , as the initial position and the final position is same , the displacement is zero.

Due to this , the acceleration of the bus will also be zero.
