Given: hypotenuse=25cm
Perpendicula=7cm
Consider a triangle....ABC rightangled at C . let AB be the hypotenuse . AC be the perpendicular .
And CB be the base .
By pythogoras theoram :
AB^2 = AC^2+CB^2
WE NEED CB , So
CB^2= AB^2 - AC^2
= (25)^2 - (7)^2
= 625 - 49
= 576
CB = 24
Therefore , the base is 24cm
