Let us understand the terms first with an example: If we divide 41 by 7, we get answer 5 with balance 6.

41÷7 = 5 & balance 6.

Here 41 is the number on which division operation is performed. 41 is called dividend.

We divide 41 by 7. So 7 is called divisor.

The answer 5 is called quotient

& balance 6 is called reminder.

41 = (7*5) + 6.

In general,

Dividend=(divisor * Quotient)+ Remainder.

Rearranging, if we want to find the divisor,

divisor = (Dividend - Reminder) / Quotient.

{(41–6)/5=7}.

Answer:

See here formula is given-

Quotient × Divisor + remainder =Dividend

Step-by-step explanation:

the examples are written below ,I hope you will understand it soon.....

here quotient is 72 and divisor is 2 then we will apply the formula

quotient × division + remainder= dividend

hair reminder is zero so we will add zero here ,ok..

so, 72 ×2 +0= 144. you can also check by dividing it , 144 ÷ 2 = 72

We can also solve rational numbers and decimal numbers by this formula.

hope it helps, Please mark me as the Brainlist .......
