How to find effective resistance?Give an example and solve it.

Anonymous: To find effective resistance,you need to know the formulae of series and parallel combination
Anonymous: You are very rich, you are offering 50 points for this answer
Anonymous: But, effective resistance varies from equivalent resistance

series circuit is a single loop, with no branching paths. All the resistors or other components are arranged in a line.
In a series circuit, the total resistance is equal to the sum of all resistances.[1] The same current passes through each resistor, so each resistor does its job as you would expect.For example, a series circuit has a 2 (ohm) resistor, a 5 resistor, and a 7 resistor. The total resistance of the circuit is 2 + 5 + 7 = 14

resistance = I/V
effective resistance has a formula :
1/R' = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3
for example : resistance of 3 conductor are 2, 3 , 4 are in parallel find effective resistance
then , 1/R' = 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4
1/R' = 13 / 12
R' = 12/13
if they are in series :
then we will add all of them simply.
hope it helps you!!!
