Finding factors of a fraction is found in much the same way as finding the factors of a whole number. Creating a factor tree for both the numerator and the denominator (consisting of primes) and then multiplying them together to make sure that you did not make an error is my first suggestions. My second suggestion is to always make sure that your fractions are completely simplified. Whenever you see the same number in both the numerator and denominator, you can cross them out since any number over itself equals ONE. If you want to check your simplified fractions, set them equal to one another and cross-multiply . For example, to check if 21/75 = 7/25, cross multiply 7×75=525 and 21×25=525. They are equal so it's correct. These are just s few among a myriad of ways to find the factors of a fraction.
